Cubic Spline Interpolation

Function: - Cubic Spline Interpolation 6

This is a very interesting and unusual function which is similar to the function where increasing x will increase the frequency of oscillation or decrease distance between maximums and minimums while the function's value will continually grow. The experiment shows that with less fitted nodes the Cubic Spline will produce a very good interpolation. Function component will generate fast continual growth. If x is larger than 7, the interpolation does not follow well the function. We can increase the number of fitted nodes and produce a better curve.

Graph14. Function: - Cubic Spline Interpolations blue curve. This is a very impressive function shape which is followed by a good interpolation by the Cubic Spline.

Graph14. Zoomed Graph 13. - Function: - Cubic Spline Interpolations. Blue and red lines are same Spline with a high and low number of fitted nodes. There is very little difference between them with a slightly higher x value. Green line - linear interpolation has very poor results.
